About the Site
The legendary griffin was feared for its ferocity and desired for the magic in its talons. Ancient man hunted the griffin, sought the treasure of its nest, to the point of the great beast's extinction.
But there were those who saw more than a beast.
Legend has it that while lost in a densely grown forest, several monks came upon a griffin sitting to brood on a tree stump. They saw such wisdom and courage in its eyes that they built a great monastery on the spot.
While the monastery itself has now been lost, tales speak of its halls filled with griffin keepers, who saved the beast from total extinction and guarded it within their walls. So grateful was the griffin, that it cast a spell upon the monastery forever protecting it and dividing it from the outside world.
Who now could find such a place?
