good news, everybody!

today we're launching some COOL NEW code across the site to tidy a few things up and help things run more smoothly. who doesn¢t love some QUANTITY OF LIFE upgrades?

you may run into a few hiccups here and there while we implement everything, but we anticipate a generally smooth relEAsE...

Here at Dragon Cave, we don't settle—we strive to bring you only the best in virtual dragon experiences.

But after almost 19 years of dragons, sometimes it feels like we've seen it all. What more could we possibly do? What new innovations are left to innovate? What is the meaning of life? Is this cheese still safe to eat?

We put our heads together to ponder these important questions, and the answer came to us immediately: put our heads together. As everyone knows, “two heads are better than one”—well, that's just what we did. By doubling the number of heads on dragons, we expect all of our Key Performance Indicators to move in the right direction (and not move in the wrong direction).

Thus we put this hastily-executed test in front of you. Please enjoy it while it lasts—the additional heads are made of construction paper and taped on with masking tape, since that's all we had, and the dragons seem to find them quite itchy. It'll all probably only last a day or so before they start to fall off.

Unfortunately we didn't look at the calendar to make sure that this momentous marketing moment didn't coincide with anything else. And it's too late to reschedule the Dragon's Dilemma (available now by visiting any of the biomes). We'll all just have to make it through this PR blunder together.

Happy Moondance Festival everyone! April 1st thru April 6th 2025!

The Moondance Festival is the official release time of the Wushi breed. The Wushi is only available as a Transformation (or through breeding). What that means is you cannot create a Custom Wushi in the Orb Cavern like other breeds.

Wushi require a special item called a Wushi Cabbage which is used from your inventory to Transform an already existing Puma. The existing Puma can be any gender, age, breed, or generation!

These Cabbages are ONLY on sale during Moondance Festival,

Wushi Cabbage: These will be on sale in the TE Items Shop on April 1st thru April 6th ONLY! The price is 10 TE for each Cabbage!


This is a shorter festival, but there's still a ton of fun packed into it! Here's some of what you can look forward to:

Gifting Stump: Be sure to use the themed Gifting Stump to send gifts to friends and fellow members.

Profile Clicks: Light off firecrackers once every hour and see what prizes pop out! This is a "Lucky Money" festival so you will see lots of pence and some TE! This is a great way to earn more pence!


Shop Items: There are a few shop items available! Some are returning and some are brand new. Be sure to check the corner icon so you'll know if it's a moondance item! There will be only 1 or 2 2025 exclusive items this time around. The corner icon will have a '25 on it!

Random Event: A festival-themed random event should be floating around on the site...

Retiring Items: Okay, this can be a bit sad, but we have some items retiring this year. All returning festival items get a nice run of 4 years after their festival first release date, so we can make room for new ones. Items originally released in 2022 will be retiring at 11:59 PM on April 10th! These items are spread throughout the site, so be sure to grab them while you can. :)

Blossom and Medusa
The Blossom and Medusa genes are have expanded to new Ancient dragon breeds. Medusa can be purchased in the Gem Marketplace, and Blossom Parchments can be earned for a Swipp's Swap Stand, and traded for specific variants at Glass and Gloss' Genuine Genes.

New bird companions are flying home for spring. These buddies can be purchased in the Treasure Marketplace!

We made a few improvements to Trades to make them easier to use. Current Trades First off, a new Current Trades list replaces the clunky old Trade Search. Rather than hiding trades behind a search form, it now lists all current trades. The list can be sorted by date or by items offered for those looking for Junk trades. The list can be filtered if you're looking for a specific item or item type. That crazy long dropdown menu has been replaced with a more mobile friendly item picker we use elsewhere on the site. Current Trades My Trades Secondly, the My Trades page has been completely rewritten and modernized. You can now add items to your trade without having to go to Inventory, a feature we borrowed from Projects.
