Ancient Issues
We want to acknowledge a couple of outstanding issues with ancient genes.


Ancient Gene Bloat:
Today's update is the first of several planned changes to address ancient gene bloat. We are aware of the gene bloat that ancient genes present and how it's negatively impacting your experience in scrying workshop, the auction house, the marketplace, and around the site. We are actively discussing how to address these areas around and after updates to accessibility and the skin system revamp. We apologize for the inconvenience and any frustration caused by the gene bloat and thank you for your patience while we work to address this.


Ancient Gene Errors:

• The gene error thread for Undertide Errors has been corrected and brought completly up-to-date!
• The gene error thread for Sandsurge Errors are a work-in-progress, but many corrections have gone in.
• The thread for Aether Errors are a work-in-progress, but many corrections have gone in.
• A thread for Aberration Errors has been opened for reports about Aberration genes. This thread is launching with many outstanding gene corrections having recently been addressed in past several weeks.

Additional Updates

• Radioactive Slime had their drop rate increased from Radioactive Slime.
• River Muck had their drop rate increased in the coliseum from River Muck.
• Grey Slime and Copper Muck had their tooltip star value changed to three stars. This doesn't affect their chance to be reduced/created as a reagent.
• Inky Baby had its drop rate increased in the coliseum from Ink Ant.
• Fanned Cockroach had its drop rate increased in the coliseum from Fanrat.
• A new achievement for Genuine Genes, New Pair of Genes, has been added.
• A new achievement for Acclaimed Achievements Association, Meta Merchandise, has been added.
• A bug where completing the criterion for Swag! (Warrior's Way) also registered Swag! (Love is in the Air) as complete has been fixed.
• The Encyclopedia has been updated with a visual guide to all Veilspun genes. This page is linked through the Veilspun and Genes articles.
• When a Modern gene stocks in the Treasure Marketplace, it will now stock between 1-40 units at a time - Up from 1-10 and 1-20. Ancient genes will continue to stock from 1-10 at a time. (This excludes boosted stock rates from new releases.)
