IcePets: Spirits Visiting

Cobron Ghost CostumeHaunted Doll HouseRidix Ghost Costume

It looks like the Haunted House has more guests than normal! Thanks to the spooky energy in the air, spirits have an easier time crossing over to our realm. For those with nowhere to go, or the deadly urge to party, the Haunted House is a perfect designation! It is always suggested to visit it at least once during this time of year, especially if you want to experience some amazing frights and even win a prize. However, since so many ghosts are just itching to give you a fright, you can enter more often for the time being -- every three hours instead of six.

It also looks like these harmless specters have brought a lot a few older Phantasmoire items to add as prizes! You may not find these items during any other time of year, so get them while you can. If you need a little extra help navigating the halls, head over to the I.C.E Shop and purchase a Rustic Oil Lantern for 100 IC (90 IC for Gold Account users)!

Wajas: Chapter Two

Chapter One "What is that?!" Remus gulped, eyes bulging as he shifted closer to his brother. Romulus tensed as Remus pressed against him, however he shifted forward a bit. As the older brother it was his responsibility to protect Remus. He wasn"t going to cower like a defenseless pup! He wasn"t a pup at all! "Don"t worry Remy." He used his nickname for Remus, hoping that that would calm him. However, Remus merely continued to tremble. The dragging noise continued, and Romulus tried to evaluate his options...there were none though. Maybe if he screamed really loud, George would come! With how scary he was right now, maybe he"d scare away whatever beast was heading their way. He"d rather deal with a beast he knew over a beast that sounded like it was dragging something dangerous. A deep breath was taken, prepping for that loud scream, but sudden regret hit. The stench was awful. It smelled like rotten fruit mixed with rotten eggs, mixed with th

Celestial Equine: Spooky Time Updates

Spooky Time Updates

Good evening, CE players! We have officially kicked off spooky season with a ton of exciting releases in both the Celestial Shops and Cash Shop. This news post will cover development updates, pending releases, bug updates, and spotlight a few of our favorite recent updates!

First up, spooky releases! Our Magic Shop, Celestial Market, and Tack shop all received some exciting new items. Specifically, the Magic Shop received over 97 new genes between our October release and additional Fall recolors! Have you had a chance to snag any new spooky or fall seasonal genes? Be sure to show them off on the Celestial Equine "Show Off" channel on Discord!

In regards to our monthly and seasonal releases, we have had several questions about the parameters of these releases. October is our second month of releasing nearly 100 new genes to the Magic Shop and Celestial Market, so we are still working on tweaks and perfecting the concept. However, rest assured that these releases will become more manageable after we get through our first year of monthly/seasonal releases! Our goal with this change is to ensure the shops feel fresh each season/month and gives every player an opportunity to create fantastic horses without utilizing the same set of genetics. This concept also applies to the Cash Shop from a rotational standpoint. Lastly, seasonal/monthly releases will continue to rotate through each year!

Next up, we have some exciting development updates for everyone! We have finally pushed an inventory update to allow players to post items to auction/place up for trade from the inventory view! We have also added a cooldown time countdown to the barn view for players to view horses available for breeding with less profile hunting.

We are still hard at work perfecting our new gene book and item book, so be on the lookout for previews and updates around these two features. The item book will also allow players to pull additional quantity of items they own from the item entry, which removes the need to contact staff for quantity replenishment. Three cheers for automation!

Lastly, onto bug updates! Our priority bug fix at the moment is our PayPal error which popped up October 1. This is due to upgrades to the PayPal integration, which should be resolved by Monday. In the meantime, any player needing to upgrade or make a purchase can send a PM directly with their PayPal email and details of their purchase to be invoiced. Thank you all for your patience while we focus on this issue! We will resume working on our retirement barn issue once we confirm this glitch has been resolved.

Stay tuned for additional updates!

IcePets: Phantasmoire Begins

Ghost Marshmallows Ghost Tales Rift Bound Rutabaga

When the days grow shorter, the nights colder, and the shadows grow, Phantasmoire is surely here! During this time of year, the line between the earthly and spiritual realms blur and becomes easier to cross. Don't worry, however. Most of the spirits are friendly and harmless. Many of these ghosts don't have the power needed to cause havoc, but they can occasionally affect certain objects or make some spooky noises, if they feel up to it.

Magical Sailor Costume Possessed Bowl of Candy Old Green Hag Costume Set

Since ghosts come from the spirits of those who have passed, for many it is also the time of year to put out lanterns and candles to help guide these souls back home. Food, candy, warm drinks, and other treats are traditionally set onto doorsteps to welcome them, but these treats aren't just for spirits! Make sure to participate in the yearly Haunting (formally known as Trick or Treating) and don't forget to keep your door fully stocked with candy! Visiting ghosts also accept offerings in the form of delicious food and drinks. Many traveling ghosts simply stop by and float around before heading to the next house. If a spirit has a special attachment to the place they visit, they may stay longer. Please treat these souls kindly, as those that are neglected or mistreated may become resentful - even dangerous.

Keep an eye out for those visiting spirits and make sure to stop by the Beauty King to get your furry friends dressed up for the occasion! As he does every year, the Beauty King will offer one free Phantasmoire morph, so choose wisely!

The month of October will now be referred to as Phantasmoire, Halloween Day will be referred to as Phantom's Eve and Trick or Treating will be referred to as Haunting. This change will affect many things across the site, including Item names, Pet Colours, and Book Content.

Lythbound: [EVENT] The Haunted Faire

The Haunted Faire event announcement banner

Once a year, the Ringleader appears with her realm full of ghosts.
It is known as the Lost Realm...do you dare unlock it?

¢¦ What is the Lost Realm?

Once a year, a mysterious realm appears in the Lyth. No one knows when or how it came to be, only that it¢s not normally accessible to Lythians; even those with a decent grasp on inter-realm teleportation can¢t seem to get to it when it doesn¢t want to be found.

However, when it is available, the Lost Realm is accessible to everyone, and isn¢t actually as scary as its name makes it out to be! It¢s only colloquially called that because of its inhabitants, who call themselves ¢eidolons.¢ They are like ghosts, but not in the same way that Igalyphs are. These are lost souls with no memory of a past life and no ability to teleport. In fact, it is uncertain if they are (or rather, were) Lythians at all.

Rumor has it that they may be from an entirely different universe...

The Ringleader

One resident of the Lost Realm who is presumed to be a Lythian is the one known as the Ringleader. She appears to have been a Gryfon in her past life, given the helmet covering her face, the large forepaws, and pair of ethereal wings. However, much like an eidolon, she has no memory and cannot leave the realm. The Ringleader only remembers waking up to a voice whispering in her ear, telling her to collect lost souls and provide them a place to live, something she still dutifully performs to this day. Alongside this task, she also runs the Haunted Faire, giving her the moniker ¢the Ringleader.¢

¢¦ What is the Haunted Faire?

As previously mentioned, eidolons aren¢t that scary. In fact, they¢re quite cute!

Sunny EidolonHorned EidolonMeowdy EidolonTired EidolonFuzzy EidolonCurious EidolonDrifting Eidolon

They may be a little off-putting or awkward around Lythians, but most chalk it up to cultural differences. Overall, eidolons are just curious creatures who want to know about what¢s out there! In an attempt to be welcoming to outsiders, they¢ve set up a large fairground that spans across most of the realm. It¢s filled with fun activities like a mirror maze, apple bobbing, face painting, and more!

The ghosts manage everything and make sure everything is in tiptop shape for the visitors. The only payment they ask for in return is that the faire-goers share their stories! Because they¢re unable to teleport, they¢re curious about what¢s out there, therefore, will quickly crowd around any Lythian who stops to share a tale with them. Eidolons are also especially delighted when their visitors dress up, because they love to see the various fashions from across the realms. In fact, they request it so much ¢ often pestering those who¢re not in costume to teleport back and change ¢ that it¢s become customary for everyone coming to the Lost Realm to pick an outfit beforehand!

¢¦ On the Fairgrounds

The Haunted Faire is home to a number of activities, which can all be found here at any time! Be sure to visit the Lost Realm and take part in this year¢s Costume Contest, daily Apple Bobbing, and other daily prompts available in Ink¢s Tent!

You can increase your familiarity with the Lost Realm itself by taking part in its Realm Familiarity quests. Everyone may claim one free key via the current giveaway, which will grant your account access to the realm. Be sure to use it on the Lythian you would like to use for the realm prompts! You can potentially get more keys by having your other Lythians participate with the key-owning Lythian in General Realm quests for the Lost Realm (basically submit a work with both of them involved). However, Familiarity Quests must still be undertaken alone unless collaborating with someone else.

Don¢t forget to spend your earned Faire Tickets from the event¢s activities over in the Ringleader¢s faire stall for event-only rewards, and look for crafting recipes using Haunted Faire ingredients.

¢¦ The Haunted Faire Prompts

As its own realm, The Lost Realm contains both General Realm Prompts and Realm Familiarity Prompts, which can be found on the realm¢s page (key required on at least on Lythian to view).

You can turn in as many prompts as you would like to earn Faire Tickets!
Submit them via the ARPG submit form under "Event Prompt" and request Faire Tickets as your currency instead of Loonoles ¢ tickets are earned at a 1:1 ratio to Loonoles.
They must be turned in by October 31st, 2020 @ 23:59:59 EST to be eligible for rewards!

¢¦ Rewards
Completing at least one Realm Quest (Familiarity or General) gives you ¢The Haunted Faire¢ achievement!
Instead of Loonoles, you will earn Faire Tickets to be spent in the special event shop, based on the piece(s) you submit.
Remember to claim the bonus + 5 (Event Quest) Faire Tickets for Realm Quests! (These are not applied to the simpler Drawtober prompts, however)

Dragon Cave: 2020-10-02 - Trick or Treat Event Submissions

Our traditional gathering events, the Festival of Eggs and Trick or Treat, have been open for community submissions several times now. Having a wide variety of art in the event makes things that much more special, so I'm excited to open things up again this year and see what we receive.

All submissions must be sent via PM to @Event Art Submissions. The deadline for submissions is October 20.

Here's some base guidelines:

  • Treats should be generally Halloween-themed, not just random objects.
  • Size limit of 50x50px.
  • Images must be submitted in PNG or GIF form.
  • Treats should be pixel art, which generally means that overall color count is limited and pixels are intentionally placed. Do not use e.g. filters or anti-aliased tools such as Photoshop's paint brush.
  • Treats may be animated, but should not use rapid or flashing effects. Animated PNGs are allowed, but your mileage may vary.
  • Semi-transparency is allowed.
  • Images must not be shared publicly before the event begins.
  • Images should not have blank space around the outer edges.
  • Treats should not use the egg base.
  • Treats may be rejected for reasons other than those in this post¢namely, there will be a general quality bar. We'll try to provide useful feedback around rejections.
  • Only one submission will be accepted per-person.

There are a limited number of spots available. Art will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis which only applies when the art is deemed to meet all of the above guidelines (that is, if you need to make changes and resubmit, that bumps you to the back of the line).

By submitting art to the Trick or Treat event, you grant Dragon Cave a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license to host, use, distribute, modify, copy, display, and create derivative works of your content. You can end this license any time by contacting us, though the art may not be immediately deleted. The license also ends immediately upon formal notice from us that the art will not be used in the event.

Use the "Contact" link for more information
