Pinata Mania is open for the holiday. This is a great way to get some of your frustration from 2020 out and go whack some pinatas! You can try your luck at finding one of the new Pinata Items or grab a few consolation prizes in your search. The game ends once the Pinata Item is found and a new game will start every half hour. Your last day to smash pinatas will be January 21st, 23:59:59 IcePets Time, so smash open as many Pinatas as you can!



Some older Pinata Mania Items will be making their way into the consolation mix until January 7th, 23:59:59 IcePets Time, so keep whacking until you have all you need. As a note, using a UHD from the I.C.E Shop reduces the wait time betweeh hits on Pinata Mania, from 30 seconds to 15.

Surprise! Our final news post of the year is here (really this time)!  We want to give a formal reflection on what a year 2020 was! We realized there was a lot we could share with you from the year that just wasn't covered. We managed to do quite a bit of work in adding new breeds and art, transitioning to V3, and more!

°¸ Big Picture Stats

• We gained 5,642 player accounts. This is almost 200% growth from 2019¢s total accounts.

• We have fixed 252 known issues since V3 launch in August. 

• We added 7 new breeds to Eqcetera and updated art for 4 breeds.

• We completed all crossbreed artwork and added 2 new crossbreeds.

• We completed all foal types with all associated artwork.

• We added 2 new disciplines.

• We completely redid the game codebase and released it.

• We had the best year for revenue in the history of Eqcetera, allowing us to bring on Curly in a part-time game director position.

• We were able to donate to a charity for the first time in February 2020 - to the Wildlife Victoria to help the Australian wildlife during the crazy wildfire season. We also donated to Heart 9/11.

Major Updates and Additions

We began adding in several additions that were setting the framework for 2021 and expanding our vision for Eqc. Many of these changes came with art and new game features as well! 

1st Half of 2020

¢¯¸ January 2020 - June 2020

• The generic crossbreed base was introduced and the old placeholder art thrown out.

• Our first equippable item was added alongside setting the groundwork for other equipable items.

• Private studs and broods became an option for the stud/brood market.

• An updated look to the foundation store and breeding grounds that now displayed horse images and BS.

• An offspring list was added to keep track for foals from horses.

°¹ February

• Our Valentines event occurred and horse-friendly chocolate truffles were introduced.

• Added in daily care (feed/water/groom) to make our pixel horses a bit more ¢real¢.

• Moved boarding centers separate from player estate.

• Added in herd management and employees for care features.

• Ability to store feed/water was added to auto feed/water horses at home.

• Boarding passes were introduced to encourage both boarding away and at home.

• Added in the new default background after a long search for an artist!

• Reverse badger marking was added to all breeds.

• We managed to raise $571.06 from Brumby coin sales to donate to Wildlife Victoria.

• Search was expanded to add more options when looking for horses.

• Added to associations and the ability to transfer clubs.

• Began expanding foal art for body types starting with draft foals!

• The first seasonal background was added, the Cherry Blossom background.

• Added in the breed star system based on a horses breed variance.

• The General Store was built on the world page to sell various items.

• The new stable background was added to give the feel of home.

• Lots of background work was occurring to begin V3 transition.

• We announced the transition to V3 as Bedouin began re-coding the entire game. 

• Light draft foals trotted into Eqc and look so darn adorable!

• Our first referral contest began which introduced leopard Irish Cobs.

• Most of the site was transferred to V3 by the end of the month!

• We gave various updates on the V3 transition and plans.

• Various custom generator changes to update layering and display.

• Marking and gene % for horses in V3 got an overhaul.

• The retirement background was added for retired horses.

• Most of the core gameplay was complete for V3 by the end of the month!

2nd Half of 2020

°» July 2020 - December 2020

• Adjusted launch date for V3 to give more time for staff testing.

• Completed all needed crossbreed art which ended with the Irish Sport Horse!

• To add some fun before V3 launch, the Summer S¢more Challenge was brought back.

• Spectral tokens were launched as part of the Christmas in July sale along with the Throwback Mountain Background.

• We had our first live stream to answer questions and chat with you all about V3.

• Stock foals joined us in Eqc and made us all say ¢Awwww!"

° August

• Pre-V3 launch both the Welsh A and B joined us to begin adding in all Welsh sections.

• V3 launched and opened with so many new changes and additions. To view an overview click here. Note, some of this has changed since.

• We launched the new help site and transitioned away from the Wiki.

• A lot of work went into the greying update which added stages for greying to horses and different grey types.

• New art was added for the Hall of Fame, Bank, and Horse Market.

• We squashed a lot of bugs...a lot.

° September

• Many more bugs were squashed from the V3 transfer.

• Added in a new aging system with countdowns.

• Added in the Enter All II and Train All II to more easily mass show or train.

• Pony foals frolicked into Eqc. They are so cute!

• The mine had art added for the minerals. Oooh so shiny!

• We held a donation day for HEART 9/11.

° October

• Many many more bugs had been fixed.

• Companions made their debut with the Elusive black Cat and Great Horned Owl.

• We gave hints as to whats to come such as tack.

• We held a Fall Forum Event to celebrate the season.

• Added the Quick Start Guide to the site.

°¦ November

• Cooldown, breeding age, and transport cap were added or adjusted.

• Studs and broods were added to Horse Market and only displays those fed,watered, and groomed.

• New avatars were added using player made art!

• Finished up the last Welsh section so all 4 sections are in-game.

• Added a new discipline, Hunter Under Saddle!

• To celebrate the holiday the new Turkey companion was sent to all.

° December

• We added tack! All breeds received art for brown english tack and an english saddle pad.

• Somatic mutations were introduced in a few breeds which randomly occur through the foundation store and breeding.

• Mass purchase of items in the General Store was added.

• Mass equip of items was added to easily equip tack, companions, and backgrounds to all your horses.

• Added a new discipline, Hurdle Racing.

• Added in black leather english tack and 2 seasonal holiday pads.

• Bedouins dog, Vega, joined us as a seasonal companion. :)

° Goodbye, 2020!

Whew, we are glad to say goodbye to 2020 but more so extremely happy of what we accomplished. As you can see, we did a TON in 2020. Now, we can look forward into 2021 and share what we have in store! We¢re excited to see Eqcetera morph into its final shape this year. The roadmap outline of what is to come in 2021 will be posted on January 2nd.

To ring in the new year together, we are bringing back a player favorite, BINGO! We will be hosting a few rounds on BINGO on our Discord on January 2nd at 7 pm EST/Gametime. A round of BINGO will also be held in the forum for those without Discord on January 2nd at 5 pm EST/Gametime.

We are happy to report that Locker Wars is now converted from Flash. As of tomorrow you can enjoy the new Locker Wars (which still looks pretty much the same) on any device that supports javascript.

2021 also came with a timing bug throwing off many areas such as quests, the berry box and dumpsters. We've already reset quite a few of them. If any others are reported we will look into resetting those as well.

Today is the last day of the month and tomorrow we will be in 2021. It has been a long and very busy year for us at PowerPets Headquarters and we are thrilled that 2020 will soon be behind us.


Before we end the year, we do need to start wit ha little bit of bad news. Unfortunately converting all our flash content is taking a bit longer than expected. We're currently working on ironing out the details of a flash free locker wars and Bingo. After that, Venom, the Diving School and Crash Extreme are scheduled to be converted. Thank you for your patience during this time.


We hope you enjoyed all the festivities this month. As always, the Festivus Trees were a huge success thanks to the many players out there who were there to help spread a smile and put presents under trees.

Thanks to everyone who participated in Sweet Festivus. We hope you all had fun and those in the top 25 enjoy their prize (to be distributed in the next day or two. If you didn't win this year, Sweet Festivus will return in December 2021, so you have plenty of time to practice your games!

Ending the month means ending some fun things. Lil Roo's Igloo game closes down for another year. We hope you were lucky enough to get some of the great items he had available.



The doors to the Siku shop will remain open for all players who have an account upgrade.


2021 will be an awesome year as we will be celebrating our 19th Anniversary in June. We hope you will be able to stick around and celebrate this special time with us!




One of the new changes we made since 2014 was receiving a birthday gift on your birthday. This has proven to be a huge success based on all the thank yous we have received. We will continue this in the new year with more birthday stuffies. Please note that all birthdays will be checked for multi accounts so please follow the site rules as we allow ONE account per player.



We will also continue with Locker Wars. Starting January 1st, locker wars will be available every Wednesday and Saturday all day. A mix of sizes, including the 100 item lockers are ready to be grabbed up. If there are any lockers that didn't get bid on, occasionally we will make a small update letting you know that we will hold additional lockers on a different day.


The LOTD will be available every Monday and Friday so make sure you get your tickets in in time to win. Who knows, you might win a LOTD stuffy if you can get all 5 wins in one draw.




If you live in a PF Town and you have not yet voted for your mayor, today is the last day to do so.

On the 1st of each month, we will be selecting the Stuffy of the Month contest winners. For every 100 credits purchased in the Upgrade Center, a ticket will be entered in the random draw.


The Eurobank will be handing out its interest tonight, and we had quite a good month, so expect to get a little extra. If you want to be eligible for January interest rates, you need to deposit your money now.


On the 17th of each month we will be holding our monthly FREE BINGO day. As a thank you to everyone for playing Powerpets, everyone will be receiving 6 free tickets for every game. Come on out and play a few games and try your luck at winning some jackpots!


On the 9th of each month the staff will be hosting a 500,000 Dicey Mice Staff Challenge during the day and evening. If you can beat the staff in a challenge, you will win a prize. One prize per player.




On the 20th of each month we will be holding our 250k Mini Bubbles Challenge. Staff will put up challenges in the Games Room and you have a chance to win a mini bubbles toy.




On the 25th of each month we will be holding our Monthly Scavenger Hunt. Get those thinking caps on and try your luck at winning an investigator stuffy.
