I was anticipating the mother tree would spread her bounty soon, and I have not been mistaken.  As the warm summer days begin to wane into fall, she is allowing all to approach and gather her leaves.  I bid all denizens of Lunaria to come forth and take a moment to be in her presence.   As I am sure you all understand, our beloved Pear Tree is most precious to me.  It gladdens me to see that for a brief time all will be able to visit her and thank her for all she's given us. My regards to all on this day.  Be sure to look back on previous posts.  It seems our resident librarian requires some assistance to fill in a few gaps in her knowledge.  The Pear Tree is now open to all players for leaf gathering!  This event runs until September 13th!

It had turned very warm in the later weeks of summer.   High overhead the glow of the midday sun turned the cloudless blue sky pale with its radiance.   Those young and old who would normally spend these hours at play or work had instead retreated into the cool of dens or the shade of the trees still standing defiantly green and lush of leaf¢save perhaps those wajas who thrived in the warmth of the sun.   But this was typical of summer in Lunaria.   It was slowly nearing the time of cooler days, colder nights, and the bright reds and golds of fall.   For now, the sun still reigned.     But as always, the heat could not pierce the dense canopy of the sacred grove of the Pear Tree.   Here, the shadows remained cool and still, the air sweet to the nose, the duff across the ground soft underfoot.   The great tree stood as it always did, its leaves glimmering in a spectrum of color, its crop of pears heavy and juicy. &nbs

My goodness, did anybody see that pup running by?  I wish I had energy like that!  Even on a hot day like this, they still have the energy to scoot about at high speeds.  Wonder what that little rascal is up to?  It looked a bit like he was coming from the mining caves, I certainly hope he wasn't playing around there!  The mining caves are no place for young pups. Ah well, but it has been one hot summer, hasn't it?  I am so glad my library is nice and cool!  I've spent the summer doing a lot of organizing and cataloging!  But I've found a few things my library is missing, so I need your help to fill in the gaps! Nurse Flytes 

In the depths of the largest Flyte hives, a new variant of Flyte has been spotted! It seems these "Nurse" Flytes have evolved specifically to care for larvae. By mimicking the babies' builds, Nurses are able to chase after mischievous larvae and squeeze into any crevices or holes they try to hide in. In addition, their appearance often fools potential enemies, whose attempts to swipe a little one are foiled when they turn out to not be a baby at all. By catching them off guard, the Nurse is able to chase threats away with their massive pedipalps, built in a variety of ways for different defense mechanisms. This new body type is now freely available for everyone to create (no item needed) or redesign already existing Flytes (with a Scissors of Redesign) into!
